Half of the people I have asked have inclined towards ESADE but I am not finding much about it online and haven't gained much info through the alumni of the college. On the other hand, multiple people have told me that Warwick has amazing reputation internationally.
The acceptance date for both are closing in quickly, I would be grateful if I someone could give me their insights quickly. WSO depends on everyone being able to pitch in when they know something. Join Us. Already a member?

A read through their EDUopinions comment sections will clearly demonstrate the popularity of the teaching methods used there. Just like ESADE, IE University teaches their students information beyond the theoretical, it teaches them through case studies that allow graduates to flourish and thrive in their post-university careers. This particular characteristic at both institutes is mentioned several times in the comment sections of the two Spanish universities, such as this ESADE commenter:.
Commenters on both colleges express their gratitude for the opportunity to meet so many people from so many different cultures. A final trait that appears shared by ESADE and IE is their practical, useful, and thorough preparation offered to students to enable their work after they leave university.
As mentioned previously, both institutes elect to teach with practicality at the fore rather than the theoretical, allowing them to focus on the reality that is the business world today, or indeed the world of any discipline especially in the case of IE University. EDUopinions commenters on both universities rave about how well their respective courses got them ready for their careers as graduates.
There are mentions of the high cost of programmes at both institutes, although commenters seem to admit to the price is worth it for education received. Also, there are comments on the lack or limited availability of teachers and therefore some subjects at both schools, for example in this comment from above: The only other vaguely negative comment about IE University after its ones shared with ESADE is also from this commenter, who believes that IE University could place more importance on students outside of their business school than they do at the moment.
The fact that IE University, despite its various other schools e. Students have commented on the improvement needed in internal management at the school. The opposite, consequently, is said of IE University and its global prestige, according to its students. Indeed, IE University boasts a glittering reputation on its EDUopinions page and also thanks to its impressive website. Current and former students state numerous times how they think of IE University as the best or at least one of the best universities in Spain, and sometimes the world.
Aside from receiving fewer negative comments than ESADE, IE University also, as stated at the very beginning of this article, offers a broader range of courses. It would be no easy destination to come to if one were to choose one of these institutes over the other.
Students from both colleges appear massively satisfied, even delighted, with the quality of education they receive or received, therefore differences in precise and detailed components of courses may come in to play.
Of course, if a prospective student is looking beyond business, then IE would prove more suitable, while ESADE acts as a real networking hub in the world of commerce. It is both humbling to know and a massive credit to private Spanish third-level education that in whichever of the two, ESADE or IE, a student may decide on, there is no real bad choice. Masters in Management. Executive Education - Customised programmes. Executive Education - Open programmes. MBAs for entrepreneurship.MiM, or Masters in Management, is a graduate degree in business and related specializations.
It is a far more theoretical approach to business education than an MBA degree. It lays the foundation of the various concepts, takes young fresh undergraduates, or recent professionals, along a structured path towards business concepts. Though originally a European phenomenon read Best Business Schools in Europethere has been a growing number of North American schools embracing the idea of this taste of management studies. To sum up the intention of the program, while what we mentioned before stands true, it is also a sort of formal introduction to the field of business management.
Much like other MS or M. Sc degrees, it is not designed with practical education in the flavour MBA is familiar with. The courses are fundamental with the option of specializations in your interested area of business function — marketing, consulting, finance, and so on.
This course, also otherwise known as Master of Science in Management in some parts of the world, is often a gateway into entry-level jobs in business management that require less experience. Nevertheless, it has high demand among recruiters, provides opportunities to study and work abroad, is a networking goldmine given the faculty and industry exposure as part of the curriculum, and is designed to train its students to build enough momentum to start a promising management career, running and far ahead.
Most MiM programs require students to have an undergraduate degree in any field. In practice, most MiM programs have students who have less than two years of work experience. TOEFL or other English proficiency tests are needed to ensure international student class participation. Master in Management is a flexible program. While a considerable number of European business schools have the curriculum divided into two years — core, electives and specializations — there is the option to extend the time to include internships, as in HEC Paris.
There is also typically an allotted time to get involved in research, working closely with professionals in the field. A few MiM programs are also designed in a condensed format to be completed within a year. The table below, showing the top school for MiM, summarizes the duration of some of the top b-schools.
The years, or semesters, are dedicated to first laying a foundation for management sciences and other related concepts — intercultural management, management, statistical methods, analytical skills, and more. The second phase provides students with various specializations through electives — Accounting, Analytics, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Strategy, etc.
Depending on the b-school, many of these electives become part of either exchange programs or dual degrees that provide the added advantage of further global exposure. Foreign Language is also a big part of the training that goes into the global experience. The essential takeaway is that while job is a key outcome in the dreams and hopes of MiM students, at large, a significant number of them choose to continue in academia.
With the heavily research oriented curriculum, students are trained towards thinking as potential researchers, adept with the skills to analyse information and use various research methodologies for independent endeavours.
Having said that, schools do incorporate real-world application training in the mix, for employment. Thus, internships can become a part of the MiM training, especially if the duration of the degree allows for sufficient time to accommodate one. Even Start-ups are showing an increased interest in these young and vibrant business wizards. The table below sums up the industry wise hiring scenario, as per the survey. This is not surprising as Europe is the pioneering continent in Masters in Management, with the rest of the world now slowly realizing its value and playing a bit of catch up.
As with jobs, larger companies are more likely to offer internships and also more likely to hire interns full-time. As mentioned before, the cohort of students, their age and experience, accounts for the job level grads are usually hired into.
For instance, MBAs, with experience, are usually hired into mid-level positions. In comparison, the average age of MiM classes is about 22 years and they usually have none to less than a couple of years of work experience. It is typically noted that MiM grads find entry-level positions albeit in reputable companies and with competitive salaries.
Of course, the salaries are dependent on the role and industry with Consulting and Finance typically being the highest payers.View University. Home Work Studies Languages For centers. View all programmes. View programmes Write Review.
Student life. The university is small, but they do plan a lot of diverse and fun activities for exchange students. Through the university alone, I went on a ski trip to Andorra, trips to Girona and Figueres. ESADE sponsored a "sports competition weekend" at a resort in the country that was really fun. There was an end-of-semester ball and a Christmas party, in addition to the weekly parties planned in conjunction with local clubs.

The classes in the 5th year are very good, interactive and small. I did not participate in the class discussions as much as I would have liked because of the language problem. Overall, the classes were stimulating, not too much work, and there is a lot of support for international students here. Esto es muy enriquecedor y aporta un valor diferencial muy considerable. I recommend studying there and living with native Spanish-speakers.
